Sunshine and Metal

New Year’s Eve was a rich memorable series of laughters.  Let’s rephrase that, uncontrollable laughters. I love when that happens.  You know it’s been good when your sides ache and like a hot yoga class you somehow feel rinsed, fresh, light!

Six fifteen AM I awoke to a throbbing head, a slightly sour stomach and said to myself, WHY, why do we do this? After bonding for hours with our comfy blue couch, blankie and a really big latte, I looked up. Sketched on our ceiling was an incredible design of lines and shadows.

Regardless of our physical or mental state we can still choose to be present enough to accept what the universe has to offer. When we are present, there are presents.
I jumped off the couch grabbed my phone and started taking pictures. The one posted here is their art on our furniture!

The sunshine and a metal seat danced in our house this morning. What an amazing honor to witness. It didn’t ask for me to see it, it was doing what comes naturally. It was not asking for applause. It was being. Ten minutes later the sun shifted, the dance,  over.

My wish for all of us as 2017 unfolds today is that we pause in the moments and look for the extra in the ordinary. Take a deep breath, feel your feet on the earth and give thanks for the dance. Our dance is filled with joys and sorrows, memories and moments. Embrace them, as they do each other.

Thanks for joining me today in my new venture within the world of blogs 🙂

Namaste
