Earth day is a little like New Years Day, you get to hit the re-start button. Today, we all get to look at how we’re taking care of Mother Earth. She’s beautiful and one of a kind.
It’s a day to consider folding in some new habits. Are you ready for a few ideas?
Do you bring your reusable mug or canteen to the coffee shop or take the paper cup? Even if you do take the cup, do you take it home to recycle if there is no recycle bin?
This picture is my new new medicine wheel herb garden. Below that I am ripping up grass, and planting a meadow for the birds and bees to grow and pollinate and flourish! I’ll keep you posted on that one! It is all, including me, art in progress.
What about your food waste? Have you ever considered a small compost pile? You can buy a compost bin cheaply, on line, and possibly at your local hardware store. Or, join a community compost program! The tools are there waiting for us!
And here is a really simple idea: Pack a cloth napkin, fork and spoon in a little sip bag and keep it in your purse or briefcase. Think of all the places that have plastic ware and paper napkins. Be rad, pull out your ware and watch others catch on! You’ll begin the wave!
It soooo simple! Do good, be good! Love thy Mother – Earth.
